Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Chrome extension “Hyo-nuki” and this website. The operator is Many Lights, a sole proprietorship based in Japan. The name of the proprietor will be provided without delay upon request.
1. What the extension handles
- When you click the extension's icon, it reads the tables on the page that is open at that moment. This data stays inside your browser. It is not sent to us or to anyone else.
- It does not collect browsing history, form input, or any other personal information.
- A Pro license key is stored only in your browser's local storage, and it is verified inside your browser.
- The extension contains no analytics and no advertising. The page-view count on this website (section 3 below) is separate from the extension.
2. What this website receives
- When you buy Pro: payment is handled by Stripe. We receive your email address and the amount, time, and status of the payment. We never receive your card number.
- When you contact us: the name, email address, and message you enter in the form.
3. Page-view and button-click counts on this website
This website (the product and purchase pages) counts how many times its pages are shown and how many times certain buttons are clicked. We do the counting ourselves and store only the totals.
This applies to the pages of this website only. It is not part of the extension. The extension still sends nothing, as described in section 1.
- What is sent: the name of the page type (home, purchase page, thank-you page, guide, or other, including whether it is the English or the Japanese page), the name of the entry type (search engine, social media, a move within this site, direct or unknown, or another site), and the name of the button clicked (the “Add to Chrome” link or the purchase button) together with the product name. Each of these is a short, predefined name. The entry type is worked out from the referrer inside your browser, and only its name is sent.
- What is not sent or stored: the URL of the page you opened, the URL or site name of the referrer, cookies, and any value that identifies your device or browser are neither sent nor stored. Your IP address, browser type (User-Agent), the origin of this website (the scheme and host name only, not the URL of the page you opened), and request headers that show whether a request is a prefetch reach the server as part of any web request, but this count does not store them. The browser type and prefetch headers are used only to leave automated crawlers and prefetches out of the count, and the origin only to check that a request came from this website. This count does not use cookies, local storage, or any other way of storing information in your browser.
- Where it is sent: our own counting server (nyusatsu-otodoke.vercel.app, shared with another service run by the same operator, Many Lights). The server runs on Vercel, and the counts are stored in Neon (a database service provided by Databricks). They are not provided to third parties.
- Purpose: to know how many times pages are shown and how many times the buttons are clicked.
- No identification of individuals: we store only daily totals (by Japan time) for each type. We cannot tell who viewed a page, how many times one person viewed it, or whether the same person came back. The counts are not linked to purchase or contact information.
- Vercel may keep connection records, including IP addresses, within the scope and period it defines. That is separate from the count described here.
- If JavaScript is turned off in your browser, nothing is counted.
4. How we use it
- to send your license key and messages about your purchase;
- to answer your enquiries;
- to keep the records the law requires.
5. Service providers
We use Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Vercel (website hosting, and running the counting server), and Neon (the database that stores the counts; provided by Databricks). These providers may process data outside Japan, mainly in the United States.
6. Sharing
We do not share personal information with third parties without your consent, except where the law requires it.
7. Your requests
To see, correct, or delete your information, contact us through the contact form.
8. Links to other services by the same operator
The footer links to other services run by the same operator (Many Lights); these are our own services and include paid ones. Nothing is sent to a linked site because of the link until you click it (the page-view counts in section 3 are sent to a server shared with Nyusatsu Otodoke-bin). This site is set not to send a referrer to linked sites. How information is handled there is governed by that site's own privacy policy.
Effective: 8 October 2026 / Revised: 10 October 2026 (added section 3 on the page-view and button-click counts on this website, and added Neon, which stores the counts, to the service providers; what the extension handles (section 1) has not changed — one sentence there was reworded to make clear that the website count is separate from the extension), and 11 October 2026 (added section 8 on links to other services by the same operator)
